ASSISTANT AD, EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT & DONOR EXPERIENCE, ARKANSAS STATE (2022- CURRENT)
Currently serving as the Assistant Athletics Director of External Engagement & Donor Experience, where I plan, organize, and execute the communication & digital strategy to drive revenue generation for the athletics department. I plan and execute all Red Wolves Foundation fundraising events. I create content & campaigns on behalf of executive-level administrators within the Arkansas State Athletics Department, ultimately growing revenue.
I oversee all booster clubs (1200 CLUB, Swingin’ Howl Club, Scarlet Chip In Club, and the 6th Man Club) at Arkansas State, where I coordinate and implement renewals, monthly activations, and solicitations. More recently, I took the lead on launching the Fast Break Club, a booster club and rev-gen stream for the Arkansas State women’s basketball program. This project required me to work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a successful premier.
I serve as liaison between the athletics department and the Impackt Club (collective) with coordinating various revenue streams, ensuring we stay in compliance with the NCAA.
I participate in face-to-face donor visits & meetings to ensure the quality of donor experience while generating revenue and overseeing the Red Wolves Foundation’s stewardship plan. I manage all digital media student assistants and lead the student team regarding external engagement & donor experience.
I create and execute email marketing campaigns to drive new and existing season ticket sales. I develop and implement ticket sales initiatives to meet or exceed the annual sales goals. I create and implement a brand standard for all athletics ticketing platforms, including Fevo and Ticketmaster. I work closely with the executive & senior leadership team(s) on digital initiatives that align with the Red Wolves Foundation's overall revenue strategy.
I’ve successfully transitioned the Red Wolves Foundation to Sidearm SPORTS. The updated RWF website, aims to create a one-stop shop for all things related to the Red Wolves Foundation. I’ve designed the website in a way for our fan base to navigate and find information regarding their membership, upcoming events, tickets, and parking hassle-free.
ASSOC. DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS, MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE (2021 - 2022)
Served as the primary communications contact for women’s basketball, volleyball, softball, swimming and diving and both men’s and women’s tennis, while assisting with the Mountain West’s social media endeavors.
Furthermore, my tasks included, but were not limited to, providing digital content and maintaining the TheMW.com website, creating press releases and media guides while producing notes, weekly releases, and feature stories.
Produced content across four social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, ensuring all platforms posse a cohesive online brand identity, helping create brand awareness within the Mountain West among the league’s target demographics.
Created copy for social media posts with 100% grammatical accuracy. Pitching, developing and creating short video content resulting in a 130% increase in follower and engagement growth in six months.
Coordinated with media relations and marketing teams on campus for collaborations via social media, promoting the school and the Conference for maximum reach across all social platforms.
Worked with the NCAA Women’s Basketball Committee to promote and deliver appropriate information concerning Mountain West women’s basketball programs entering the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. On monthly calls, I provided the committee with notes, facts and up-to-date information on programs excelling in the Mountain West, neatly presented via InDesign.
Designed championship apparel and merchandise for 17 Mountain West Championships to ensure all the Conference’s championships have one cohesive, modern look. Getting involved with the championships department has allowed me the exemplify strong comminutions skills by working cross-functionally with a different department.
ASST. DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, SUN BELT CONFERENCE (2020-2021)
Served as the communications contact for volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field.
While overseeing the Sun Belt's social media, across three platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), the accounts have grown a combined 50.4 percent in engagement. The platforms have seen an increase in following, impressions (49.6%) and post link clicks (117%), through new, fresh content.
Creative collaboration has been an essential factor through the success I've had in improving the digital brand of the Sun Belt. Brainstorming, coordinating, delegating, and empowering colleagues to take ownership has resulted in some impressive video features, graphic design, and multi-platform digital content.
Assisted with the league’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Worked with student-athlete representatives from each SBC institution to develop and implement initiatives including community service, mental health, life-after-sport and the league’s Be The Change Initiative.
Developed a social media campaign and graphics package to promote the Sun Belt SAAC’s Mental Health Initiative.
ASST. DIRECTOR FOR MEDIA RELATIONS, ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY (2018-2021)
Served as the primary contact for the Arkansas State baseball, women's soccer, and women's bowling programs and was responsible for all aspects of team promotions. Tasks included providing digital content and maintaining the AStateRedWolves.com website, creating press releases, media guides while producing notes, game recaps, and feature stories.
Primary responsibilities have included helping rebrand sports programs’ social media identity, manage content-creation projects, and promote the success of storied football and Olympic sports teams and athletes through creative digital storytelling.
While promoting Arkansas State Soccer, the program's Twitter account grew to one of the Top-25 most engaged accounts among D1 soccer programs, and its Instagram was one of Arkansas State's most engaged accounts and increased to the second-largest account of The Red Wolves' 12 sports, behind football and baseball.
Similar success was seen after just one year before with the baseball program as the social media accounts also grew to one of Arkansas State's most followed accounts.
RECRUITING ASSISTANT, ARKANSAS STATE FOOTBALL (STUDENT 2015-2018)
Assisted with day-to-day football operations, planned and coordinated recruiting strategies and events. I created and developed recruiting materials to build the Red Wolves football brand via social media.
Assisted with day-to-day football recruiting operations, including travel, physical mailers, and fielding A-State Football inquiries. I helped plan and coordinate multi-year recruiting strategies and events. I assisted with creating physical and digital materials to build and expand the A-State football brand across social media.
Operationally, helped Arkansas State football to a 247Sports and Rivals No. 1 recruiting class in 2018 and 2015 (Rivals), a No. 2 (Rivals) class in 2016, a No. 2 (Rivals) class in 2015 and a top-5 class finish in 2017. Furthermore, I helped guide Arkansas State Football to four-straight bowl appearances in 2015 (New Orleans Bowl), 2016 (Cure Bowl), 2017 (Camellia Bowl) and 2018 (Arizona Bowl). Operationally, helped lift Arkansas State Football to two Sun Belt Conference championships in 2015 and 2016.
